He also reported thousands of missing migrant children were found by ICE in that state.
Border Czar Tom Homan announced that President Trump’s administration is halting “Operation Metro Surge” in Minnesota next week after prisons and jails in the state have begun to notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the release of illegal aliens with federal warrants.
Mr. Homan stated, “With… [the] success that has been made arresting public safety threats and other priorities since this search operation began, as well as the unprecedented levels of coordination we have obtained from state officials and local law enforcement, I have proposed — and President Trump has concurred — that this surge operation conclude a significant drawdown has already been underway this week and will continue through the next week.”
President Trump sent the border czar to oversee the immigration enforcement operation after two anti-ICE activists were shot and killed by federal agents in separate incidents last month.
Mr. Homan also reported that ICE had found more than 3,300 missing unaccompanied alien children in Minnesota. He stated that the total number of missing migrant children is over 145,000 since President Trump began his second term.
Funding for the Department of Homeland Security and its agencies, including ICE and FEMA, runs out on Friday since the Senate failed to pass the appropriations approved by the House before recessing.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the border czar as he oversees the withdrawal of agents from Minnesota.
- For President Trump and the heads of DHS, ICE, and CBP as they seek to enforce immigration laws.
- For members of Congress to be discerning in their negotiations to fund DHS and its agencies.
